Review: Open Workshop Day 2024
Great interest in the open training workshop day
The WEBER SYSTEMS GROUP inspires visitors with interactive insights into technical professions
Losenstein, 15 November 2024. The Ennstal hydraulics specialist’s training workshop opened its doors on 8 November for the ‘Open Training Workshop Day’ and attracted numerous technology enthusiasts. The event day offered exciting insights into the apprenticeships at WEBER-HYDRAULIK and WEBER RESCUE SYSTEMS.
Guests were able to test their soldering, milling and turning skills at the hands-on stations. The self-assembly of small cylinders, which could be tested directly on site and taken home as a souvenir, was particularly popular.
A special highlight of the day was the demonstration of the rescue equipment, which is produced in Losenstein under the brand name WEBER RESCUE SYSTEMS and sold worldwide. Visitors were given an impressive demonstration of how the equipment can save lives in an emergency. They experienced the technology at first hand and also had the opportunity to try it out for themselves.
The opportunity for personal dialogue with the trainers and apprentices on site was also used intensively and has already led to the first applications for the next apprenticeship year. ‘The Open Apprenticeship Workshop Day is a valuable opportunity for us to get young people interested in technical professions and show them what we do in a practical way,’ explains Stefan Gstöttenmayr, Head of Vocational Training and Jig and Fixture Construction, who has successfully organised this day together with his team from the apprenticeship workshop for the second time in a row.

Company site in Losenstein pools expertise in the fields of hydraulics and rescue technology
With a new building and the associated expansion of the competence centre for rescue technology, the group of companies headquartered in Güglingen in southern Germany has invested heavily in the Rescue division in Losenstein in recent years. However, the production of classic hydraulic components and hydraulic systems such as cylinders and power units also continues to play an important role in the activities at the site. The products are used by leading customers in the agricultural machinery and stationary mechanical engineering sectors. Manufacturers of construction machinery and lorry trailer systems also benefit from the customised technology, which guarantees maximum performance and reliability.
