WEBER SYSTEMS GROUP Awarded EcoVadis Bronze Medal Once Again

The group, with locations in Germany, Austria, and Poland, scored 65 out of a possible 100 points, thereby improving on its result from the previous year. This improvement was due in particular to the WEBER SYSTEMS GROUP expanding its measures in the areas of ethics and information security, further developing its sustainability reporting, and further embedding guidelines on labor and human rights. Specifically, the successful TISAX assessment at the Wykroty site in Poland and the Group’s commitment to the Diversity Charter, in place since 2015, had a positive impact on the results.

“We are very pleased that we were able to improve our rating and were once again awarded the bronze medal,” says Anne Flaig, sustainability officer at the WEBER SYSTEMS GROUP. “For us, sustainability is not a one-off project, but rather part of our long-term corporate strategy.” 

EcoVadis evaluates companies’ sustainability management across four key areas: the environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Among other factors, the assessment takes into account guidelines, concrete measures, and documented results. The assessment thus also demonstrates how consistently sustainability is embedded in a company’s structures and processes.

The group pursues clear goals with its sustainability strategy. These include, among other things, the responsible use of raw materials and resources. For example, the group covers nearly 70 percent of its energy needs with renewable energy.

“For us, this rating is a confirmation of our efforts to date. Above all, however, it motivates us to become even better and to consistently pursue the path we have chosen in the years to come,” said Flaig.
