2.3 Use of cookies – Explanation of terms and general information on the use of cookies
Cookies are small files that contain a string of characters in which certain information has been stored in open or encrypted form. Cookies are sent from the server to your computer and stored there. They are initially used to identify the computer from which a website has been accessed. If you log in to a website, cookies are used to notify the server of your login and to check your authorization to access a page. Some cookies have an “expiry date”, i.e. a date on which they are no longer valid.
We also want to show you our respect when using cookies, which is why you should always have the option of using the cookie banner solution we use to set in fine detail whether and if so, which cookies and analysis methods you agree to.
2.4 Data processing with the Borlab cookie banner
When selecting the so-called cookie banner, we deliberately chose the Borlab cookie banner solution. With this solution, processing is always carried out on our server and no external connections are established when the banner is called up.
However, so that we can offer you this data-saving service and it can also have a corresponding effect, a technically necessary cookie (borlabs-cookie) is used on the part of this solution, in particular to save your cookie consent.
The borlabs cookie stores the consent you gave when you entered the website. If you wish to revoke this consent, simply delete the cookie in your browser. When you re-enter/reload the website, you will be asked for your cookie consent again.
The purpose of integrating Borlabs Cookie is to obtain the consent of website visitors and to save or document the visitor’s decision. The use of Borlabs Cookie is technically necessary and permissible under both the GDPR and the TDDDG without the need to obtain consent.
2.5 Use of Google Tagmanager and Google Analytics
We use Google Admanager and Google Analytics on our website. However, this service is not activated by default due to our cookie banner.
If you agree to the use of these services, we would like to point out the following. If you have consented to the use of this service, this website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC (“Google”). The use includes the “Universal Analytics” operating mode as part of the Google Tag Manager. This makes it possible to assign data, sessions and interactions across multiple devices to a pseudonymous user ID and thus to analyze the activities of a user across devices.
Google Analytics uses “cookies” to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will first be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. We would like to point out that Google Analytics has been extended on this website to include IP anonymization in order to ensure anonymous collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking). The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You can find more information on terms of use and data protection at https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or at https://policies.google.com/?hl=de
Google will use this information on our behalf for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator.
The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR. You decide with your voluntary consent, which can be revoked at any time, by means of the settings in the cookie manager whether you agree to the use or not.
The recipient of the collected data is Google.
The data sent by us and linked to cookies, user identifiers (e.g. user ID) or advertising IDs are automatically deleted after 14 months. Data that has reached the end of its retention period is automatically deleted once a month.
We have taken the necessary measures with our cookie banner so that you can voluntarily and actively consent to the use of Google services. No cookies will be set before you have actively consented.
You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.
Further information on data protection at Google Analytics can be found here: www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html

We use Google Ads as an advertising partner to promote our products and services.
Google Ads is an online advertising program from Google that allows companies to place ads to reach their target audience. With Google Ads, we can place targeted ads based on users’ search queries and behavior on Google and other partner sites.
When using Google Ads, various data may be collected, including
- IP address
- Search queries
- Device type
- Location data
- Cookies
- Interactions with ads
The data collected by Google Ads is used to target ads and measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. The data is not used for personal identification and is only analyzed in aggregated form.
You have the right to obtain information about the data collected by Google Ads and, if necessary, to have it corrected or deleted. You can exercise your data protection rights via the data protection settings of your browser or via the data protection settings of Google Ads.

Data processing is carried out for the purpose of concluding and fulfilling the contract. The processing of your data is necessary for the conclusion and fulfillment of the contract with you in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR. In addition, data processing is necessary to protect our legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. After termination of our contractual relationship, we check as standard after five years whether we still need your data and / or whether, for example, statutory retention obligations such as those of the German Fiscal Code conflict with this. If there is no longer a retention obligation, we will delete your data in accordance with the principles listed in point 5.

When you access a web page of our website on these platforms that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection with the servers of the respective companies. The content of the plugins is transmitted directly to your browser and integrated into the website. We therefore have no influence on the scope of the data that the respective companies collect with the help of these plugins. We therefore inform you according to our level of knowledge:
By integrating the plugins, the respective companies receive the information that you have accessed the corresponding page of our portal presence.
